Aardy for Apple TV

Using the Siri Remote

Every gesture and button while the slideshow plays.

A screensaver has no menus on screen, so here is what each press does.

During the slideshow

  • Swipe or press left or right: previous or next photo.
  • Play/Pause: pause the slideshow. Press again to resume.
  • Click: show the photo's info. Click again to hide it.
  • Press and hold the clickpad (about one second): open Settings.
  • Swipe up: mark the photo. Swipe up again within a few seconds to see its credits card.
  • Swipe down: the clock and weather screen.
  • Menu or Back: return to what you were watching before the slideshow started. If the Mac cannot be reached, press again within 3 seconds to go to the Home screen, so you are never stuck.

When the info panel is up

Press and hold to hide the photo. It is hidden in the pack that is playing and keeps playing in other packs. This needs the info panel open first, so resting a thumb on the pad never hides anything by accident.

The credits card

After you mark a photo, swipe up again to show the credits card. Click, hold, or press Menu to dismiss it. With photos sent from an iPhone, swipe up just loves the photo instead, and the TV says Loved.

The clock and weather screen

  • Swipe left and right to page through cities.
  • Play/Pause controls the music.
  • Swipe down again, or hold, to open Settings. Swipe up or press Menu to close.
  • It closes by itself after a minute.

A pairing code on screen

If a code appears because a phone is pairing, press Menu to dismiss it.

Tip: On the Mac, marked photos appear under Marked in the manager, ready to edit or unmark.
