Pair your iPhone with a TV

Type the 4-digit code the TV shows. Up to three phones can pair with one TV.

Pairing always happens in front of the thing you are pairing with, so nobody else on your network can send photos to your TVs.

Pair with a TV

  1. Open Aardy on the Apple TV and on the iPhone.
  2. On the phone, choose the TV and tap Pair with and the TV's name.
  3. The TV shows a 4-digit code over whatever it is doing. Type it on the phone.

Good to know

  • Up to three phones can pair with one TV. Each phone has its own packs.
  • Five wrong codes end the attempt. After ten wrong codes from anyone, the TV stops accepting pairings for a few minutes.
  • A code you did not ask for? Press Menu on the Siri Remote to dismiss it.
  • A TV that a Mac manages is paired with the Mac instead. See Pairing with a Mac.

Unpair

In Aardy, use Forget this TV and choose whether to keep its packs playing or remove them. Or, on the TV, choose Settings, then iPhones, and select your phone to forget it.
