Aardy for Apple TV
Getting started on Apple TV
The built-in packs, your first run, and how to bring in your own photos.
Aardy for Apple TV plays your photos as a living photo frame. It costs $4.99, once, and works with Family Sharing.
The first run
When you first open Aardy you see the Aardy splash, and then the slideshow starts. Out of the box it plays the built-in nature packs, so the screen is never empty. They are only there to get you started. Your own photos are the point.
A hint appears once: Press and hold the clickpad for Settings.
Bring in your own photos
There are two ways, and you can use both:
- From your iPhone. Install Aardy for iPhone, open it, and send albums to the TV. The TV shows a 4-digit code to confirm. See Pairing the Apple TV.
- From a Mac. Install Aardy for Mac. Open Aardy on the TV and it looks for your Mac by itself. See Three ways to get photos on your TV.
If you do nothing, the built-in packs keep playing.

Finding your Mac
If the TV finds one Mac, it connects straight away. If it finds several, it asks you to Choose your Mac. If it finds none, it says Can't find your Mac automatically. You can then enter the Mac's address, or try Find my Mac automatically again. See Troubleshooting your network.
Using it
Everything happens with the Siri Remote. See Using the Siri Remote.
