Aardy Manager (Mac)
Pack settings
Transitions, timing, portraits, captions, sound and Live Photos for a pack.
Choose the gear in the pack builder's toolbar to open a pack's settings. They set the pack's look and sound. A TV can override most of them; see Apple TVs.
A pack's settings are also saved as the defaults for the next pack you create.
Playing
- Play order: by date, by place, or manual.
- Shuffle: stacks stay together and in their own order.
- Transition: how one photo gives way to the next. Choose from the list, from Crossfade and Ken Burns to Origami, or Varied to mix them.
- Seconds per photo: how long each photo stays up. A stack can override this.
- Portraits: how tall photos fill a wide screen. Options include a blurred fill, pairing two portraits, cropping, or letterboxing.
- Live Photos: off, silent, or with sound.
Captions
- Dates, Location and Labels each turn a caption on or off.
- Overlay position: where the date and place appear. Bottom left unless you change it.
- Overlay order: the order of the lines, for example date, then landmark, then place.
- Overlay opacity and Overlay text size (small, medium or large).
- A live Overlay preview shows how the lines will read.
Sound
- Ambient sound: rain, ocean, forest and more, or none.
- Sound volume.
- Streaming music: none (use the ambient sound), a local playlist, or Apple Music. See Audio and music.
Resolution
Enhance low-resolution photos lets Aardy upscale small photos for 4K TVs. Turn it off for scans, artwork and graphics, which can look better without it.
