Ambient sounds & music

Three ways to fill the room: built-in nature loops, your own music, or Apple Music.

Ambient sounds

Aardvark ships a library of nature loops — rain, ocean, forest, campfire, crickets, and more. Pick one in a pack's Settings in the Pack Builder; the Apple TV loops it quietly under your photos and ducks it automatically when a Live Photo with sound plays.

Your own music

  1. In the web admin, open Source Folders and switch to the Audio tab.
  2. Click Add music folder… and choose a folder of music. It's indexed where it is — your music is never copied. Supported formats: M4A, AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, CAF, and FLAC.
  3. Open a pack in the Pack Builder, use the Audio tab on the left to add tracks, and arrange them on the Playlist tab on the right.
  4. To play it on a TV, open Apple TVs → Configure for that TV and set Streaming music to the pack's playlist.

Tracks are streamed to the Apple TV and cached for smooth playback.

Apple Music

An Apple TV can also play from your own Apple Music subscription (requires signing in to Apple Music on the device). Choose it per TV in Apple TVs → Configure → Streaming music.
