Build packs
A pack is a curated set of photos with its own look.
A pack is a curated set of photos with its own look — transitions, timing, captions, and its own soundtrack. Assign different packs to different Apple TVs on the Apple TVs page (see Pair an Apple TV).
Manage packs
Open Packs in the web admin. Click New pack to create one, or open an existing pack to edit it. Packs can also be renamed, duplicated, and deleted from here.
Add photos in the Pack Builder
Opening a pack takes you to the Pack Builder. The left side has Photos and Audio tabs:
- Tick the source folders you want to pick from.
- Optionally filter to landscape, portrait, or screenshots.
- Select photos and click Add selected to pack, or add all the photos that match your filters at once.
The Audio tab works the same way for music tracks that go into the pack's playlist (see Ambient sounds & music).
Arrange the pack
The right side has Gallery, Metadata, and Playlist tabs. In the Gallery you can:
- Reorder photos with the arrow buttons or by dragging them within the gallery.
- Hide a photo (keeps it in the pack but doesn't show it) or remove it from the pack.
- Group similar shots into stacks, and Group by place or time.
- Tag and Label photos, and Fix info when a date or place is wrong.
- Set the Order: by Date, by Location, or Manual.
- Open Settings for the pack's transition, seconds per photo, how portraits are shown, whether to show dates, location, and labels, the overlay (including where on screen the date and place appear, and in what order), and the ambient sound.
Fix dates and places in bulk
The Metadata tab is a table of each photo's date, place, landmark, and label, with where each value came from — Camera, Offline lookup, Online lookup, or Manual. Select several rows to edit them at once, or revert a value to what it was.
