Updating the server

Updates are drop-in. Your data stays put.

macOS: download the latest disk image, choose Quit Aardy Photo Server from the menu-bar icon, drag the new Aardy into Applications to replace the old one, and open it again.

Coming with the public release: Windows, Linux, and Docker builds. This is how they will update.

Windows: run the new .msi (it upgrades in place).
Linux: reinstall the package.
Docker: docker compose pull && docker compose up -d.

Your library, packs, and pairings are preserved across updates — they live in the library folder (~/Pictures/Aardvark ScreenSaver by default on macOS), not inside the app.
